Dr Nathan Hayward

Dr Nathan Hayward is an Otolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgeon and Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (FRACS) with comprehensive training in all aspects of general adult and paediatric ENT Surgery. In addition, he has completed further sub-specialty training in the surgical management of Obstructive Sleep Apnoea (OSA), Snoring and Sleep Disordered Breathing in children and adults. He is one of very few surgeons in Australia to have undertaken expert training in Sleep Surgery. Nathan completed his medical training at The University of Sydney, graduating with Honours. Following Internship, Surgical residency, and a period of accredited training in General Surgery he was successful in gaining entry onto the training program for Otolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery – rotating through major Victorian Hospitals.

Dr Hayward is an invited speaker at International and National meetings (involving his sub-specialty interest in Sleep Surgery), and is author/co-author on several peer reviewed publications. He is dedicated to the progress of his field through research and innovation.

Dr Hayward holds a public hospital appointments at Monash Health and The Austin. He and is committed to the education and guidance of training junior doctors and surgeons. Nathan sees private patients at ENT Specialists Group locations – Heidelberg, Melbourne CBD, Blackburn, Bendigo and Gippsland (Sale & Traralgon). He operates privately at several metropolitan locations, and visits regional Victoria regularly.

Nathan welcomes referrals for all ENT conditions. He is committed to providing comprehensive specialist care to his patients, and is dedicated to achieving the best outcomes possible for all.

When away from work Nathan enjoys spending time with his wife and young family, trying to stay fit and cheering on the Hawks.
